Manage taxonomy

Step 1:

  • Select 'Admin' from the left navigation bar and choose 'System Management' along the top.

Step 2:

  • Scroll to select 'Manage Taxonomy'. Here system admin will able to do the following tasks.
    • Add new conditional taxonomy
      • Select the programme and subcategory where the new taxonomy is to be included. Once you have opened the correct subcategory select '+ Add new'.
      • For example, to add a topic to the Approaches to Teaching in Primary Years, select Primary Years Programme > Primary Years > Approaches to Teaching (ATTs) > '+ Add new'.
    • Edit conditional taxonomy
      • Select the tag you want to edit by selecting the title to reveal the edit icon.
    • Remove conditional taxonomy
      • Select the eye icon to make a tag invisible within the IB taxonomy. When the eye is grayed out that indicates the tag is not visible. When the eye icon appears colored in and orange that indicates the tag is visible in the IB taxonomy.

  • Note: When you select a title you will see the taxonomy that is linked within that pathway.
