TABLE OF CONTENTS

To promote collaboration and ensure accuracy, content creators must complete the drafting and review process to publish content to the IB Exchange. Structured content will move through the phases of 'Draft', 'Peer Review', 'Final' and 'Approved' before it can be published. Content Creators can add collaborators to the structured content to allow those users to access the content and take part in the review process. Only after the structured content has been approved can the content be published to the IB Exchange.

Content creators and collaborators will always be able to see which part of the review process the content is in by looking next to the title of each module, unit, lesson or section.

Note: System Admin do have the ability to move through the entire drafting to published process.

Drafting Phases

'Draft' to 'Peer Review'

  • During the designing phase the structured content, it is in 'Draft' stage. When you have finished drafting, move the content to 'Peer Review' by selecting the drop down options at the top of the completed content.

  • You are able to move completed parts of the content such as an individual module/unit or lesson/section to 'Peer Review' as you continue to work on other areas of the content.

'Peer Review' to 'Final'

  • A different user than the Content Creator will need to review the work and collaborate with the creator to make any revisions as needed. This can done by a Manager, Primary Author or collaborator of the content. Refer to 'Collaborators & Permissions'

  • After the peer review has been completed, the user who completed the review can move the content to 'Final' or back to 'Draft' by selecting from the drop down options at the top of the reviewed content.

'Final' to 'Approved'

  • An admin or content manager can move the content to 'Approved' or move it back to 'Peer Review' or 'Draft' if necessary.

Once structured content has been approved, the content is ready to be published to the IB Exchange by the Manager or Primary Author.

Once content has been published, the content cannot be edited.

Note: The same user cannot create the content and move the content through all of the review steps. The same user cannot move content from 'draft' to 'peer review' and 'peer review' to 'final'.
