Members are able to purchase micro-credentials through the IB Exchange. Upon purchasing a micro-credential members have 10 months to submit and earn their micro-credential badge.
Within the micro-credential, members will have access to all necessary guidance such as due dates, review status, and attached communities (if applicable) from their 'My Learning' table.
Completing a Micro-credential
- Once the micro-credential has been purchased, access all relevant information through 'My Learning' from the left hand navigation bar.
- From the 'My Learning' table, access the micro-credential by selecting the title under the Micro-credential tab.
- Expand sections to ind all necessary resources, guidance, and rubrics to complete the micro-credential. Members have 10 months to submit and earn the micro-credential.
- Tasks can be completed in multiple sessions and all progress will be saved.
- Once you have completed all tasks, agree to the terms and conditions, and select 'Submit for review'.
- Edits cannot be made after the micro-credential has been submitted for review.
- Results will be ‘Approved’ or ‘Request to resubmit’ by the evaluator within 14 days
- You will be able to monitor the status of the micro-credential from the 'My Learning' table.
- If you did not meet all of the criteria to earn the micro-credential badge you will have the option to resubmit. To resubmit select the micro-credential and 'Start resubmission'.
- Resubmissions will require a resubmission purchase.
- You will be able to review the sections that did not meet standards with a marked rubric.
- All previous work will be saved so edits can be made to the appropriate blocks and then resubmitted.
- Resubmissions will require a resubmission purchase.
Communities and Micro-credentials
- Micro-credentials can also be attached to a community. Refer to 'Communities' folder to learn more.
- Members gain access to the attached community with the purchase of the micro-credential.
